The proper way to park a vehicle is to stop, place vehicle into neutral, engage emergency brake and let the vehicles weight rest against the brake, place vehicle into park or 1st/Reverse, and shut off engine. As for what to do, cshell is absolutely correct if you have full coverage. The insurance has no choice but to pay for the damages. They can, however, drop you or raise your premium afterwards. Even if you just have liability, they have to pay for the damage to the other vehicle. Don't let them push you around, if they say no, sue them. They then would have the burden of proof to show that it was the shop's fault if they want to sue them for the damages.
I converted and I feel like I'm a new man. A man on the dark side. |
